Early
Sunday morning before the official opening of the complex, I quickly set
up near the buildings near a BAG to check in USAF MARS net.
You get extra credit for "Emergency Power and Field Antenna" and this certainly qualifies.

The
home made Zenith "replica" Z-985 battery contains 10.5 volt
filament supply and a small 100 volts DC inverter for the plate supply.
I got tired of purchasing 9 volt batteries at the dollar store.
I packed up my gear but saved the best for last, a repair was accomplished on KB3ATV's generator.
