I manufacture some carrier shock mount brackets out of 12 gage strap.
Home made brackets in place.
On one end of the canvas straps you have a bracket with two round disks.
The canvas is fed between "L" mounts and then they are secured to the long main frame with machine screws.
The disks hold the strap brackets in place on the set.
The strap is fully seated and the set is secure.

The other end of the strap is secured via the thumb screw into another bracket with the disks.
Anyone got two of these thumbscrew brackets? This picture was taken at the MRCA meet last fall of a set found in the woods.
